It's been a while since I've written one of these. I suppose it's worth noting that I'm not dead if anyone was wondering. In fact, I'm here pretty much every day, faving away, scrounging for inspiration, yet neglecting to post any content of my own. I guess that's not the best course of action for someone who hopes to pursue a career as a concept artist.
I'm finalizing my transfer requirements next fall semester at the community college I'm attending which means I'll be getting an actual education pretty soon (majoring in illustration, no less) which also means it's time to start building my online presence if I'm going to have any luck with successful networking. Perhaps it's long over due, but better late than never, no?
So, if anyone is reading this, I have a small dilemma that I'd appreciate any suggestions with.
Option 1. Should I keep this profile which harbors my most popular piece? Granted, it is fan art and thus not an original design, and it's over two years old but still gets several faves a week which would help draw in some fresh eyeballs. I'd change my username to something a little more professional but I'm reluctant to do that. What can I say? I get sentimental.
Option 2. Start fresh with a new profile, username, and no following. I'd just provide a link on this account or something. That'd settle my sentimentality of MrJellyfish.
Well jeez, now that I've written it out, Option 1 seems to be the most ideal... Regardless, leave a comment or something. I'd like to hear from some of you beautiful people.
